We know what makes a great CBD product, well grown hemp. The Foxy Flower Founder, DJ Petz, has been a professional cannabis grower for over 10 years & has brought his expertise in natural farming methods to our The Foxy Flower Farms.
We certify all our farmers in the The Foxy Flower Farming Techniques- which increase the quality, yield of the farm without using any harmful pesticides. We are one of the only CBD companies to put such attention to detail & care into our plants. Why- because we care.
Hemp is the greatest plant on the planet for sucking up toxins out of the soil. It’s so good- it’s commonly used to clean up radiation sites, like Chernobyl. We realized that even if we grew our plants organically we would be failing our customers if we didn’t make sure our soil was uncontaminated. Most hemp farms in America are grown on old corn and hay fields that have been sprayed with harmful pesticides for decades, not us.
What goes into a plant, ends up in the final product. If you haven’t guessed it by now- we only use compounds that are natural & safe. Worms, compost teas, molass, aloe, silica, alfalfa…etc, everything you find in nature you can find at our farms. Our methods aren’t the norm in the farming industry but we aren’t the normal CBD company & by challenging ourselves to use natural growing nutrients & products we can confidently say that you are getting the best hemp possible.
Similar to Napa Valley, the North Fork Valley of Colorado has the most incredible microclimate conditions for growing hemp we have seen throughout the state. Alkaline soil, moisture, temperature variants and mountain water produces award-winning and nationally famous cannabis and is where every one of our farms is located.
You can use our pesticides on salads. Neem oil is a delicious nutty-tasting oil that also happens to drive mites and other pests crazy. Our company was founded on the deep belief that the current “acceptable” farming practices were way off from our moral compass and nothing harmful is sprayed on our plants for that reason, ever.
Most farmers use artificial boosters that are designed to boost terpenes, crystal formations, cannabinoid percentage, bud density or bud size. Although most people are ok with this, The Foxy Flower certifications ensure that you are only getting products that have used molasses, an edible sugar.
Starting in November of every year, our process begins with indoor mother plants that follow all of the same rules as our outdoor crops. This helps us control the quality of our plants in our fields without leaving to chance the natural phenotype differences you get from seeds.
Yield is a big factor in being able to run a hemp farm year after year. To increase yield for our farmers, we train in methods that help them be profitable and able to stay in business. Our certification process includes training in super cropping, topping and the FIM method. When our farmers use all three of these methods, they get twice as much cannabinoid rich hemp flower to sell at the end of the year.
Organic aloe vera rooting gel ensures our clones are propagated with safe methods and ingredients. The vast majority of the industry takes clones with harmful synthetic rooting gels and hormones, not The Foxy Flower clones. Keeping our clone area sanitized and temperature controlled ensures that we can use such a natural approach.
Naturally organic and bioavailable, compost tea sprays are the only acceptable means of foliar feeding a The Foxy Flower plant. We brew our compost teas for 3 days, twice a week, to give our plants the best foliar nutrition on the planet and encourage them to produce the most cannabinoids and terpenes they can
The amount of mold and powdery mildew in the hemp industry is astounding and alarming. Our farmers follow the process of hanging plants 2 feet apart vertically (not horizontally). They also have air circulation and humidity control procedures in place that prevent any harmful fungus or mold from forming.
